A very poor design
There are so many faults with this seat. It is not secure and will detach in a capsize. When tucked under the coaming as instructed, it's leant backwards and provides no back support, worse, the edge of the coming is not cushioned and will quickly bruise your back as you press against it. They break at the hinge. The top of the seat back damages

Weakest part of the whole X500
Had one of these replaced under warranty when the hinge material ripped after about 15 uses. The seat is also thoroughly uncomfortable after more than an hour or two. If you roll the boat, the seat base will float out of the attachment points. Try getting it back in while you're getting back in the boat, or when you're sitting on it, without
